Web Results was contracted to work as part of a team to create an online company directory for Canada's second-largest newspaper chain. Our part was design; layout, graphics, styles, etc. After a few revisions, we decided on a clean and corporate look, using a soft red colour and crisp fonts as the backbone of the design.

2003 Community Products Publishers' Conference Survey

Sun Media Corporation came to us with a small problem; they wanted to get opinions from all the attendees of a recent conference they held, but they didn't know the best way to go about it. We devised a simple means of collecting opinions from all of the approximately 90 publishers who attended.
We created an online form that is simple for the users to fill out, but is a quite complex behind the scenes. Sun sent out a link in an email to all of the publishers, who each filled out the form. The results were then uploaded to a MySQL database, where they were calculated and sorted via PHP code in the page. The executives were then able to log in to a secure page to view all of the calculated results. This saved them from having to work through the mass of results individually.
Response was great! Many of the publishers commented on how simple the survey was to use, and the executives really liked being able to see a breakdown of the results without doing any manual calculations.
